Let It Go Workout

I know a lot of people are following along with BodyRock’s new workouts but I wanted to try the older Let It Go Workout which is push up free (I’m still resting my injured wrist) and has some new exercises I wanted to try. Zuzana recommended a couple of replacement exercises which you can do if you don’t have any equipment like me, just watch the video for the full explanation. The sandbag clean is replaced by vertical leaps and the ugi squeeze is replaced by mini pulse squats.

Let It Go Workout

Hi Andrea. Thanks for your message! Yes, I’m keeping up with the challenge but its pretty hard. I think I have hurt my neck as I have been getting quite a few headaches. I am trying to simplify the exercises and keep my form good instead of letting it go (which is probably how I hurt my neck). Until today, I have loved it. Today I was really unmotivated but I got through. Not sure what tomorrow will bring!

I have found I get a lot of injuries even though I try hard to use correct form when working out. I couldn’t do anything for most of December as I hurt my neck so I can definitely relate. You just have to be really careful. I hope you are feeling a bit better now. I don’t want you to lose motivation as it’s your comments which are keeping me motivated!

    HI Andrea
Thanks, I am feeling better. I finished up day 3 of week 2 on Friday and have taken the two rest days on the weekend. This puts me a couple of days behind the challenge but lets me prepare the workouts in advance and have the weekends off with the kids. On Friday I decided to do the whole thing low impact in case all the jumps (and there have been a lot) have been hurting my neck. Since Friday, its felt a lot better and I even skied all day yesterday with no problems!

So, I’m off to check out my workouts for tomorrow and Tuesday. I am pretty sure I will finish the challenge but I really haven’t been cutting out any foods so I don’t expect to *see* a big difference at the end – I do however feel stronger than I have in ages!

Keep up the good work :-)
