Today I did the Burn Baby Burn Workout for the 3rd time. I really like this workout. There are only 4 exercises but a high number of reps for each exercise making it quite difficult.
I tried to keep good form as much as possible but it was difficult with the abs exercise. I can’t quite extend my legs enough. I say this after just about every workout but I know I can do this workout faster.
I beat my previous personal best by more than 2 minutes so I’m very happy with that but I still feel like I am very unfit. I suppose working out more than 3 times per week would help with that.
Today I went back and did the Rock’n No Rolls Workout. I really enjoyed it last time so pushed really hard to try and beat my scores.
This workout is harder than I remembered. I was so out of breath I had to stop a couple of times and take a quick break. I hated having to do that because it kind of throws the results off but anyway, I wasn’t able to continue without taking a break.
I also wasn’t able to complete the last exercise which was super girl push ups. I was feeling quite unwell so skipped the exercise and took a nap instead! I think it was my fault for not waiting long enough after eating breakfast. I did a bunch of super girl push ups yesterday anyway.
Overall though, I did improve on my results from last time. As always, I know I can do better and will do this workout again.
Today I went back and did the Triple X Workout. I wasn’t fit enough last time to complete the workout and this is the only one of Zuzana’s workouts which I haven’t been able to complete.
I’m not pushing too hard with my workouts at the moment because I don’t want to end up being sore and out of action for a few days. That’s why I only did half the workout today, as I did last time. It was a 15 minute workout, which was enough for me. I improve by results in both parts of the workout.
Three workouts in 3 days. That’s progress for me!
I still have pain in my shoulder/neck so I chose the Get Hot Cardio Workout for today which doesn’t have any push ups or upper body exercises. I was disappointed that I didn’t beat my old time but I know I was fitter in May so it’s not surprising. It took me exactly 1 minute longer than last time.
I know if I do body weight workouts on a regular basis (at least 4 or 5 times per week) then I will be able to beat this time.
Today I did the Booty Firm Up Workout from last month. I warmed up by doing my hundredpushups.com workout (which I failed to complete) and then went on to do this 12 minute workout. I was tired, my neck hurt, and my form was crap. I’ll have to do again.
I don’t know what to do. Body weight workouts are hard and I often end up hurting myself. I have a persistent wrist injury, I get neck and upper shoulder pain when I do a lot of push ups, and I’m sore all the time.
Sometimes I think I should just go back to the gym and workout on the step machine for an hour and leave it at that. These workouts and injuries are killing me.
It took me almost a week to recover for the last workout. My thighs were super sore! So today I decided to do the exact same workout again – the Sweet Punishment Workout. I knew I could do better and proved that by taking 27 seconds off my previous time. I know it doesn’t sound like a lot but for a short workout, I think it is significant. I know I can do better again so it won’t be the last time I do this workout.
Not only did I improve my time, I think I improved my form too. I took my time with the pushups and made sure they were slow and deep. I did deeper squats too so I am really happy with tonight’s workout, even though I thought I was going to be sick at one point, haha!
Fingers crossed I’m not too sore tomorrow and so I can keep working out.
After two weeks of illness and two weeks of laziness, I’m finally getting back into my workouts. It goes without saying that I’ve lost a lot of fitness so it’s not surprising that I really struggled today.
Today I went back and did the Sweet Punishment Workout. I improved on my results in the first part (the lunges) but did slightly worse on the time trial.
