600 Rep Workout #2

I much prefer to do cardio workouts and lower body than strength workouts and the 600 Rep Workout is one of the best for that. I was so happy to see I thrashed my previous score even though I haven’t been working out consistently. It just goes to show that every workout counts towards improving your fitness.

Fierce Workout 3

Today I went back to one of my favourite older workouts, the Fierce Workout. This workout is from when Zuzana was living in Malta and I think the workouts she posted at that time are some of her best which is why I always go back to them. I also like that there are no push ups in this workout.

This is my second and final workout for the week. I  know I should be doing more but I’m always so sore after each workout and it takes me ages to recover. Hopefully that will change in the coming weeks but for now I’m going to wait to recover from each workout before going on to the next.

Here are my results since I first did this workout in February 2010:

2nd February 2010: 17 minutes and 25 seconds
2nd May 2010: 14 minutes and 58 seconds
4th December 2011: 17 minutes and 11 seconds

I’m going to do a new workout next, the What You Want Workout.

Sexy Beast Workout 2

Today I went back to an old workout, the Sexy Beast Workout. I pushed quite hard and saw similar results to the last time I did it which I was quite happy with. Even though I was completely exhausted afterwards, I feel great now and am looking forward to tomorrow’s workout which is going to be a new one for me.

Special thanks to Penny for motivating me to continue with the workouts with her comments in the last post. It helps a lot to know someone else is torturing themselves with these workouts. :)

Sweat and Muscles Workout 3

Aside from a few hotel gym workouts, today I did my first proper workout since April 27th this year. That’s almost 7 months. Not good.

After a quick warm up I did the Sweat and Muscles Workout. My scores were obviously much lower than last time but to be honest I was just happy to complete the workout without passing out.

I’m not going to make some comment about getting back to working out 5 times a week because I know that’s not realistic but I am going to do what I can and see if I can’t tone up a bit.

Get Hot Cardio Workout 3

Today I warmed up by doing 75 kettlebell swings and then followed up by doing one of my favourite workouts of 2010, the Get Hot Cardio Workout. My time was slower than my two previous scores but that’s the benefit of recording my workouts, I know when I’m doing well and when I’m not. Currently I’m very unfit and it shows in my time. I don’t know how I’m going to get out of this exercise rut. :(

Side Lunge Jumps 2

Today I did 2 workouts, the 4 Minute Sweat Workout and the Side Lunge Jumps exercise challenge. Even though I’ve been walking a lot and I even went running a couple of times, I’m still not working out very regularly. So even these little workouts are difficult for me.

I did the 4 Minute Sweat Workout first which I think is a great workout to warm up with.

After a quick break I did the Side Lunge Jumps challenge which I was just happy to complete, unlike last time.

Swimming in Hotel

I’m in Sydney at the moment so along with walking for hours and hours every day, I’m trying to swim for a bit each day in the hotel pool. Today I did laps for 30 minutes and I’ll try to swim again tomorrow. There is a Jetts gym here in Sydney but it’s a bit far from where I’m staying so I’ll just go swimming and maybe do a Bodyrock workout in my room.

This swim is the first workout I’ve done in weeks. I went to Singapore about a week ago and contracted a nasty flu. It’s been really hard to work out and 4 weeks later I still have a cough. Hopefully I’m on the mend and I’ll try to do a quick tabata workout later today.

There is always something keeping me from working out regularly but I’ll never give up.

Intense Challenge Workout 2

Today I did the Intense Challenge Workout which I last did in February. I was hoping to beat Zuzana’s time of just under 21 minutes but I completed it in just under 25 minutes. I’m such a long way off her level of fitness :(

However, I did beat my old time by 2 and a half minutes so that’s something. It was the burpees which did me in so I need to work on that.
